Can The DOJ Report Transform Louisville? (Part 1)

Some Louisvillians, particularly in the Black community, have long complained of biased, overly aggressive police actions that terrorize and harm. The recent Department of Justice Report confirms that these complaints are valid. The report calls for the city to enter into a “Consent Decree,” a legally binding plan to right its course. As racial justice advocates, we’re heartened by this mandate for change. We also have questions about the decree and how we can support its full implementation.

This free event, led by Attorney and Cartoonist Extraordinaire Marc Murphy and District 7 Metro Councilwoman Paula McCraney, will be held at the Earth and Spirit Center, 1924 Newburg Rd., Louisville, KY
