Racial Discrimination in Housing and its Impact on Wealth Building

There’s a good explanation for the disparity of wealth between Black and white families in America. It was planned and executed by the government, in partnership with the real estate industry. Join us as we learn about the history of redlining, racial deed restrictions, zoning laws and steering. These practices guaranteed that the middle class would be almost entirely white for generations. And their impacts are felt today in our city and neighborhoods, and in the wealth of our citizens.

Mr. Borders has been a real estate attorney for 35 years but only recently learned how the industry he works in was primarily responsible for the wealth disparities in our country. We hope you'll join us to learn about this history!
